Ottawa Qualifier Tournament – Team Canada

This past Sunday on February 12, 2017, Ottawa held the Dodgeball Canada Qualifier Tournament for the Team

Beavertails: Jessica Gray, Erin Mersereau, Lynn Kirkpatrick, Amélie Byam, Stephanie Ness and Connor Cooper

Canada selection process for men and women. Players from Ottawa as well as players from across Ontario battled for the chance to move forward to the National Championship Tournament and Tryout this April in Halifax.

We are proud to announce that the two winning teams were all made up of Dodgeball Ottawa players! Winning the women’s division was team Beavertails and winning the men’s division was team Fury

Fury: Joel Menger, Jeff Nuyens, Spencer Sarault, Kevin Wu, Mahmoud (Moody) Yusuf, Alex Savard and Chris Wood

Although these are the only teams that qualified to move forward, Ottawa players displayed tremendous skill and caliber throughout the tournament. We would like to thank everyone who participated and supported the teams playing.

CTV News as well as Metro News came out to catch some of the action.

Check out the video from CTV News which features interviews with Tony Nguyen and Lynn Kirkpatrick. Lynn was also interviewed by Metro News in their printed article. Cameo appearances from many other Dodgeball Ottawa players in both news links! Check them out!
